Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will provide you, as a user of this website, with all necessary information on how, to what extent and for what purposes we or third parties collect and use your data. The collection and use of your data is strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). The confidentiality of your personal information is particularly important to us, and we therefore work strictly within the parameters set by law. The collection of this personal data is strictly voluntary and we will only pass this data on to third parties with your explicit permission.

We ensure high security for particularly confidential data, such as payment transactions or in regards to your inquiries, through SSL encryption. We would like to take this opportunity, however, to point out the general risks of internet usage, over which we have no influence. Particularly in e-mail exchanges, unless further precautions are taken, your data is not safe and may be recorded by third parties.

Information, Deletion, Locking

You may request information about the personal data we have stored about you at any time and free of charge, as well as the origin, recipient and purpose of data collection and processing. Additionally, you have the right to request the correction, locking or deletion of your data. This does not apply to data stored in compliance with legal regulations or data required for business transactions. So that data can be locked at any time, data is stored for control purposes in a secure document. If data is not captured through a legal archiving obligation, we will delete your data upon your request. If the archiving obligation takes effect, we will lock your data.

For all questions and concerns regarding the correction, locking or deletion of personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer under the contact data in this privacy policy or at the address stated in our imprint.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These small text files are stored on your PC from the server. They support the presentation of our website and help you navigate it. Cookies collect data about your IP address, browser, operating system and internet connection. We do not associate this information with your personal data and do not share it with third parties. Under no circumstances do we use cookies to bring malicious programs or spyware onto your computer. You may also choose to use our website without the use of cookies. Please note that this will limit the view and functionality of our website and online services. To deactivate cookies, edit your browser settings.

You can manage cookies from online ads through the following links:

Data Collection

The delivery and presentation of content via our website requires, for technical reasons, the collection of certain data. When you access our website, your data is saved in so-called “server log files,” collected by us or the webspace provider. These log files cannot be traced back to you.

The relevant data collected is as follows: the name of the website, the file, the current date, the amount of data, the web browser and its version, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet provider, the referrer URL (page from which came to our site), as well as the corresponding IP address.

We use this data for the presentation and delivery of our content and for statistical purposes. The information supports the delivery and constant improvement of our website offerings. We also reserve the right to analyse the aforementioned data retroactively, should suspicion of illegal use of our content arise.

Third Party Content and Services

Our website offerings may also include the content and services of other providers that complement our own. Examples of such services are maps from Google Maps, YouTube videos or graphics from third parties. Calling up these webpages with third-party content requires the regular transmission of your IP address, allowing these providers to note and save your IP address.

We make every effort to include only third parties who restrict their use of IP addresses solely to the delivery of content; however, we have no influence over whether a third party provider stores your IP address. The storage of this data may serve, for example, as a statistical tool. Should we become aware of third-party storage operations, we will immediately notify our users.

Please also note the special data protection statements for individual third-party providers and service providers whose services are featured on our website. These can also be found in this privacy policy.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. In order to do this, we need your e-mail address. In addition, we will need to verify that you are the account holder of the e-mail address provided and wish to receive the newsletter, in compliance with the relevant legal regulations. For this reason, we collect data that allows us to verify this information. In this context, the data collected aids in the sending and receiving of the newsletter and will not be shared with third parties. Apart from the information required for sending out the newsletter, no further data will be collected via our website.

Because the sending and receiving of the newsletter requires your consent, you can revoke this consent to the collection and storage of your data at any time without stating a reason, by using the “unsubscribe” link provided in the newsletter.

Personal Data

In the context of data avoidance and minimisation, we collect personal data only to the extent and for as long as it is necessary for the use of our website or required by law. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and adhere strictly to all relevant legal provisions and to this privacy policy when collecting and processing personal data. If this data is no longer needed or the end of the legal storage period has been reached, the collected data will be locked or deleted.

Our website can be used regularly without the transfer of personal data. When we collect personal information – such as your name, address or email address – this data collection is voluntary. Without your explicit consent, this information will not be disclosed to third parties.

Please note that data on the Internet is not always transmitted securely. Particularly regarding e-mail correspondence, protection during data exchange cannot be guaranteed.

Server Log Files

The server log files are anonymised data that is collected when you access our website. This information cannot be traced back to your person, but for technical reasons, it is essential to the delivery and presentation of our content. Furthermore, they are a valuable statistical tool and allow us to constantly optimise our content. Typically, log files record the date and time of access, the amount of data, the browser used for access and its version, the operating system, the domain name, the webpage from which you came to us (referrer URL) and your IP address. Log files also allow us to investigate, should we suspect the illegal use of our website.

SSL Encryption

Our website uses SSL encryption for the transmission of confidential or personal user data. This encryption is used, for example, in the processing of payments and inquiries made through our website. Please make sure that the SSL encryption is activated on your computer for such activities. The use of encryption is easy to recognise: The display in your browser line changes from “http: //” to “https: //”. SSL encrypted data is not readable by third parties. Submit confidential information only once SSL encryption is active. If in doubt, please contact us.

Objection to Promotional E-Mails

Within the framework of the legal imprint obligation, we are required to publish our contact data. This data is sometimes used by third parties to send unwanted advertising and information. We hereby object to any unsolicited transmission of advertising materials of any kind. We also expressly reserve the right to take legal action against the undesired and unsolicited sending of advertising material. This applies in particular to spam e-mails, spam letters and spam faxes. Please note that the unauthorised transmission of advertising material may have consequences under competition, civil and criminal law. Spam e-mails and faxes in particular may lead to high damage claims if they disrupt business operations by overcrowding mailboxes or fax machines.

Encrypted Payment Transactions

During payment transactions, we ensure your data is secure. For security reasons and to protect your confidential and personal information, our site uses SSL encryption for all payment transactions. To determine if SSL encryption is enabled or not, check the address bar of your browser. If the browser line has changed from “http: //” to “https: //” encryption is enabled. The browser line “https: //” indicates the use of SSL encryption. Payment transactions are now encrypted. Enabling SSL encryption makes it impossible for third parties to read your confidential information, so we recommend that you transfer your data only when SSL encryption is activated.

Google AdWords

On our website we use Google AdWords, an online advertising programme provided by Google Inc. This programme makes use of conversion tracking. With this tool, Google AdWords places a cookie on your PC when you visit our website by clicking on a Google ad. The cookie expires after 30 days. This cookie will not trace back to your person. Should you visit our website again as a user while the cookie is still valid, we and Google can recognise that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to our website. Each Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie, making cookies untraceable via the websites of AdWords customers.

Conversion cookie data is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWord customers. We are able to see the total number of users who responded to our ad and were then redirected to a webpage tagged with a conversion tracking tag. We do not receive any information in this process that could personally identify you as a user.

Should you wish to decline this tracking process, the Google conversion tracking  cookie can be deactivated via your Internet browser. Use your browser’s help function for further information. For more information about Google’s privacy policy, please visit http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Use of Google Analytics

On our website we use the Google Analytics service from Google Inc., which uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on your PC, allowing us to analyse your user behavior on our website. The cookies generate information that is then transmitted to a Google server. These servers, though typically located in the United States, follow agreements with the European Economic Area and shorten IP addresses before they are sent to the United States. Only in exceptional cases will the IP address be shortened after transmission to the USA. Google evaluates the information provided and provides in turn other services for website operators, such as us. The IP address detected will not be merged with other Google services.

You can prevent the storage of cookies on your computer by changing your browser settings; this may, however, cause display and functional restrictions when using our website.

A browser plug-in can also prevent cookies from collecting and using your data. The plug-in can be downloaded at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

In this context, Google denies the collection of personal data and alleges not share data collected with other Google services.

You can deactivate Google’s Remarketing feature by updating your settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Cookies can also be deactivated at the following website http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp or by changing your browser settings. If necessary, use your browser’s help function.
